METALLICA: 'Live At Grimey's' EP

"Are you sick of us yet? We sure are!! However, we're here again to tell you about one more release, this one supporting our continued beating of the drums for independent record stores across the country with an exclusive EP available only through the network of approximately 700 U.S. retailers who support Record Store Day.

"We were honored to be part of the first ever annual event celebrating independently owned records stores, a.k.a. Record Store Day, with an in-store at Rasputin Music in Mountain View, California on April 19, 2008 and we're very proud to be a part of another special event with our friends at independent retail.

"The EP includes the nine songs we played the afternoon of June 12, 2008 in the basement at one of the coolest record stores in the nation, Grimey's in Nashville, Tennessee, and is part of the series of 'Live At Grimey's' releases.

"Live At Grimey's" track listing:

 Metallica's New releases

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 25th Anniversary Concerts”  CD / DVD and Blu-Ray .

“Just about a year ago we were more than honored to participate in a special two night event to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The two nights of shows at Madison Square Garden brought together an incredible group of artists and resulted in some pretty amazing collaborations.”
Metallica’s set included:
"For Whom the Bell Tolls"
"Sweet Jane" with Lou Reed
"Iron Man/Paranoid" with Ozzy Osbourne (full length version not seen on HBO)
"All Day and All of the Night" with Ray Davies
"Enter Sandman"
"Turn the Page"

 Guitar Hero
Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock, hits the streets on September 28 and we'll be there! Look for our version of "Paranoid" on the game, recorded with none other than Ozzy Osbourne at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 25th Anniversary Concerts. In conjunction with the launch of Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock, if you have a copy of Guitar Hero: Metallica, you will be able to import 39 of the game's on-disc tracks directly into you Guitar Hero music library beginning September 28”

The Big Four: Live From Sofia, Bulgaria

news_2010.08.26_bigfourcover.jpg "Universal Music will release "The Big Four: Live From Sofia, Bulgaria" DVD and Blu-ray containing footage of the June 22, 2010 Sonisphere cinecast from the Sofia, Bulgaria leg of the touring rock festival featuring the "Big Four" of 1980s thrash metal — METALLICA, SLAYER, MEGADETH and ANTHRAX. The DVD hits the streets on October 15 in Northern Europe, October 18 in most of the rest of the world, October 19 in North America and the full shows from all four bands will be included in the two-disc set along with behind-the-scenes and interview footage. In addition to the two-DVD set and the corresponding Blu-ray, there will be a limited-edition "super deluxe" box set including the DVD set, five CDs with ALL the music, a 24-page booklet, a poster, photos of each band, and a "Big Four" guitar pick."
